The Salkantay Trek is a favorite among hikers for the Humantay Blue Lagoon, glass cabins, and our exclusive campsite overlooking the mystical ruins of Machu Picchu!
Considered one of the best treks in the world, the Salkantay Trek offers a variety of Peru’s ecosystems; from deserts and jungles, to mountain passes and blue lagoons.
General information
Highlights: Stellar scenery, coffee farm, glass cabins, lagoons and camp overlooking Machu Picchu.
Considerations: To include Hamantay Lagoon (Turquoise Lagoon) and Llacatapata (amazing camping spot with Machu Picchu in the distance) we have to leave the afternoon before the trek starts making this trek 5.5 days and 5 nights.
Season: March 1 to January 10.

BRIEFING.
We will have a pre-trip meeting with your guide at our office for a tour orientation. The meeting will be at 6:30 pm.
EXPERIENCE OF OUR GUIDES.
All our guides have a minimum experience of 3 years, our guides are: professional, responsible, nature and mountain lovers. They will make your trip safe and happy.
FIRST AID.
All our guides received first aid courses in high mountain, our guides always carry a basic first aid kit (pills for altitude, diarrhea, vomiting, cures, creams for muscle aches.) also oxygen in case of emergencies.
TRANSPORTATION
The following transportation services are included in the tour:
TOURIST TRANSPORT Cusco – Mollepata trip of approximately 02h and 30 minutes.
Transportation Mollepata – Challacancha, trip of approximately 45 minutes.
Transportation Sahuayaco Beach – Santa Teresa 1:30 minutes.
Tourist train Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo.
Tourist transport Ollantaytambo – Cusco Station (Plaza rejoicing).

TRAIN TICKETS
Return train schedules – The schedules we work with are those of the 6:20 PM EXPEDITION TRAIN.
CAMP INFRASTRUCTURE
We have established campsites in each CAMP SITE, among which:
In Soraypampa: We have rustic cabins, with 13cm thick mattresses.
In Colpapampa: We have domes, with 13cm thick mattresses.
In Santa Teresa: We have rooms for two people.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation included in the package is a BASIC HOSTEL in the town of Aguas Calientes.
All rooms have private bathroom and private shower.

Official Tourist Guide – Certified in DIRCETUR with a minimum experience of 3 years. Maximum groups of 10 people.

Horsemen and horses to transport all camping and cooking equipment.
7 kilos of personal belongings of each passenger – The luggage of the passengers will also include the weight of their sleeping bags.

- Water storage: A water reserve such as Camelbaks is recommended – but enough for at least 2-3 liters.
