At 8:00am, the tourist transport will pass by your hotel and take you to your adventure, you will go to the head of the town of Maras to appreciate the Spanish style of the streets and doors, then to Maras salt mines, an impressive place with more than 2,000 salt wells, which are still being exploited by the locals.

MARAS: Place located in the province of Urubamba, you will be able to appreciate the snowy mountain range of the Vilcanota and the summits. At the present time this attractive time guard picturesque town of the pre-Hispanic, colonial and republican period, standing out in the colonial streets of the city.
MARAS SALT MINES: Located northwest of the town of Maras are constituted by about 2000 small wells with an average area of about 5 mts², operated since the time Inca, Colonial period and still continues to be exploited by villagers. They indicate that there is a spring of salt water that derive from this mountain, then has the process for the consumption of the region.
Then, crossing the mountains on the way to Moray, once there you will learn about the importance of this place, its function in Inca times and take pictures of this amazing place.

MORAY: This archaeological site is located 7 km south west of Maras; it is the only archaeological group of its kind in the region. Of enormous terraces that overlap concentrically in a gigantic pit, these beautiful terraces that served in the Inca period, in which the Quechua people of old experimented and obtained improvements. Place where incredible advances in agriculture were obtained.
At the end of the tour, you will return to Cusco where transportation will take you back to the center of the city of Cusco.

The general tourist ticket is valid for 10 days and allows entrance to all of the Inca sites around Cusco, City Tour, the Sacred Valley, Moray and the South Valley (16 places). This is a better option if you plan to also combine the city tour, or visit any of the archaeological sites outside of the Sacred Valley in Cusco. An alternative option is to purchase a Partial Tourist Ticket for S/. 70.00 nuevos soles, this is valid for 1 day and will allow entrance to all the Maras-Moray sites.
