Want to see the stunning colors of the 7-color mountain, but don’t want to make the long trek up Vinicunca? REAL CUSCO TOUR recommends a little known, but very good alternative. If the Vinicunca hike is challenging, as it is very steep, long and the altitude can cause problems for some people, the trail from Palccoyo is easier, shorter and mostly flat. Also, since Palccoyo is a new route, it is also not well known and not very crowded. You will most likely be alone with your group or with a few other groups. Your pictures will be better and you will also see three colorful mountains instead of just one with the classic Vinicunca tour. This tour is a must in the region.

Itinerary

Our travel agency REAL CUSCO TOUR will pick you up at your hotel at 6:30 am and then we will travel through the South Valley, we will make a stop in the village of Checacupe to appreciate the Inca suspension bridge and the colonial bridge, you can take some pictures and if you like the group can walk on the suspension bridge, here you can make use of the hygienic services, we continue our journey to the village of Combapata (3,630 m. From this point we will travel by an unpaved road until we reach the Palccoyo Mountain of Colors, on the way we will pass through the villages of Chiara and the community of Palccoyo where you can buy some souvenirs.

We arrive to a point allowed for buses from where you can see the colorful mountains overlooking the snow-capped Ausangate. We begin a brisk walk to explore the Palccoyo Mountain, we can explore the area and enjoy the enigmatic nature where your adventure will be rewarded by unforgettable moments and wonderful landscapes. At the appropriate time we return to our bus to go to the place where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Return to Cusco by the same route. 18:00 Arrival to Cusco
