Want to see the stunning colors of the 7-color mountain, but don’t want to make the long trek up Vinicunca? REAL CUSCO TOUR recommends a little known, but very good alternative. If the Vinicunca hike is challenging, as it is very steep, long and the altitude can cause problems for some people, the trail from Palccoyo is easier, shorter and mostly flat. Also, since Palccoyo is a new route, it is also not well known and not very crowded. You will most likely be alone with your group or with a few other groups. Your pictures will be better and you will also see three colorful mountains instead of just one with the classic Vinicunca tour. This tour is a must in the region.
