Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Puno 5 Days

DAY 01. LIMA – CUSCO CITY TOUR

AM we board our flight from LIMA – CUSCO (01 hour trip).

AM. Reception at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel in Cusco, where we will be served an aromatic coca tea, stimulating for the altitude of the city, and then rest and have lunch before the start of the city tour.

1:30 PM CITY TOUR EXCURSION: which includes visit to the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, Plaza de Armas, main streets, also visit the 04 ruins surrounding the city, the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, finally “The Baths of the Inca” Tambomachay, 6:00 PM Transfer to the hotel.

DAY 02: CUSCO – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

5:00 AM we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, we will take you to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo (1 hour 30 minutes by car) where we will board our train to then make our trip to the town of “Aguas Calientes” (2000 meters above sea level) which lasts 2 hours.

Upon arrival at the train station, our guide will be waiting for you with a sign and your names, with him will go to the bus station, to ascend 400 m high, by a zigzagging road, for 30 minutes to reach the incredible wonder of the world “The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu”, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.

Arriving at the citadel of Machu Picchu we will go through the control where you will give your entrance ticket, from this place the guided tour will begin, you will visit the main areas of the city such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries, the guided tour will be for more than two hours.

At the end you will have free time to stroll around the citadel and visit Machu Picchu on your own, you have the option to make the walk to the sun gate or Inca bridge, then return to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will take your meals in one of the many restaurants (lunch is not included in the package).

In the afternoon you will take the train back to Cusco (you must be at the station 30 minutes before the departure time of your train), the return will follow the same route as the outward journey, arriving at the train station in Ollantaytambo, we will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour and 30 minutes by car). We will be arriving in Cusco at approximately 8:00 PM.

DAY 03. TOURIST TRIP FROM CUSCO TO PUNO “ROUTE OF THE SUN”

After a good breakfast, 6: 30 AM we will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the bus station of the company, which will take us for a tour that lasts 9 hours approximately, we will have 4 guided visits to the tourist attractions of the southern corridor of the altiplano, visiting the temple of Andahuaylillas or Sistine Chapel of America, the Inca temple of Raqchi, at noon in the city of Sicuani we will have included in the tour a buffet lunch, from there we will continue the tour arriving at the pass of La Raya at 4335 meters above sea level and the Inca-Aymara museum of Pukara. Each visit has a duration of 20 to 40 minutes, where the passenger will be able to ask questions, take pictures and walk a little, making our excursions pleasant. Upon arrival in Puno at approximately 5:00 PM, our staff will be waiting for us and will take us to the hotel where we will spend the night.

DAY 04. PUNO LAKE TITIKAKA – ISLAND OF UROS AND TAQUILE

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the port of Puno (Lake Titicaca) where you will embark on the boat to then visit the Floating Islands of the Uros for a space of 1 hour and 30 minutes, appreciate the customs of this island and its crafts. Then we will also go by boat to visit the Taquile Island of great scenic, ethnic, cultural and archaeological value, then we will also return by boat to the Port of Puno, there you will be picked up and taken to the Hotel or if you wish we can leave you in the center of Puno so you can visit the city on your own.

DAY 05. PUNO – SILLUSTANI CHULLPAS – JULIACA – LIMA

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to the Chullpas of Sillustani, pre-Inca burial towers, the highest is approximately 12 meters high, then we will go to the airport of Juliaca which is one hour from Puno, there we will check in at the airport counter, you will receive your air tickets and then take the flight back to Lima, trip of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
