The hike to the 7 color hill or vinicunca is for people who do not have much time in Cusco, but still want to see the spectacular scenery near Cusco and Ausangate with a day hike. During the day you will have many spectacular views; where you will be able to stop and take memorable photos.

With our Rainbow Mountain hike you will be able to see one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Ausangate area on a full day excursion and also observe the wildlife of Andean camelids such as llamas, alpacas, and if you are lucky you will probably be able to visualize Condors. In this part of the Andes Cusco traditional life is more preserved than other places around Cusco. There will be the opportunity to talk to real Quechua people.

DAY 1 : RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – ALTITUDE – RETURN TO CUSCO

Pick up from your hotel around 4:00 am.
Approx. 3 hours drive to Pitumarka.
Breakfast and last recommendations from our guide for you.
There are 05 km between Quesuno and Rainbow Mountain.
At the top enjoy the panoramic view of the whole Ausangate area.
Way back to Quesuno by the same road.
Enjoy the delicious lunch.
Drive 3:30 hours back to Cusco.
We leave you in the same place from where we picked you up.

Itinerary

Our service begins with the pick up from the hotel indicated at about 4:30 am. given the corresponding indications of the guide, we begin our journey to the south of our city of Cusco in our motorized transport along our journey we can appreciate different impressive landscapes Huacarpay and Urcos lagoons.

Arriving this way to the town center of Cuscipata where we will have a stop of approximately one hour to be able to taste the delicious Andean breakfast and take advantage of the time to use the services and to rest. We continue our journey until we reach the community of Tintinco where our motorized unit makes its final stop, where our specialist guide gives us precise and forceful instructions to start our walk of approximately two hours along the way we can see beautiful landscapes of colorful mountains, streams, different snowy, native animals of the area as alpacas, huanacos, birds, etc..

To reach the viewpoint of the great 7-color mountain also called Winincunca or simply Rainbow Mountain.

We can also observe the highest mountain of Cusco Ausangate Apu protector of the entire Cusco region among other wonders such as the red valley and the Andean mountain range.

In coordination with our guide we will have enough time to take pictures and record videos among other activities of your preference.

Finally we will return to the bus station approximately one hour and then we will board a dead unit to return to the town of Cusipata to enjoy a delicious lunch with a variety of Andean dishes.

After this we will return approximately 5:00 pm. to the city of Cusco to say goodbye to our guide and end of our service.
